Galla was yesterday. I'll update more about it at a later date. I am completely wasted, haggard and upset. The actual party was great- everyone enjoyed themselves and I only received positive feedback (I, along with two others, planned the entire event). But man, it's hard to enjoy yourself when two different people come to you with problems/questions every half hour. Ugh..

I'll wait to show you guys picture of me- I'd rather show you a picture of a guy in my class who oftens surprises with his creativity and style. Check it out!
He made his bowtie out of Lego! How sweet is that? Also, he was wearing a deep red velou blazer which completely made the entire outfit. Props.

Sirens grow and grow

So I went to the Cheap Monday release party in Weekday's Århus store yesterday. It was pretty fun, but I have to admit, I felt mildly out of place between all the hot ladies wearing Acne shoes, svelt makeup, and basically looking ultra chic.

I didn't bring my camera (which will come as a huge surprise anyone who knows me). I didn't want to be that annoying, wannabe blogger chick who took pictures of all the people that look a hundred times more cool than herself.

I tried to network as much as I could (with some degree of success), as most of you know, I'll be relocating to Århus after the summer if everything goes as planned. I'm going to need a nice lil apartment (that I can actually afford) plus a fulltime job, preferably at a clothing store. I met some really nice people who I've added on FB and hopefully will be able to help me with my job hunt..

I picked up this Weekday top.. I saw it in Copenhagen, but didn't buy it (which I totally regretted). So this was my chance. I love (love love love) the print and I'm sure it's going to be one of my favourite summer tops. Plus, at a price like 180kr, you can't really go wrong.

Galla is tomorrow.. so excited to get dressed up and wear my dress, that has been hanging in my closet for nearly two months and tempting the hell out of me every time I've had an occasion to wear it. I've resisted, but god it was hard! Pictures will come Sunday :)

Couldn't believe my eyes when I read my hotmail today. I've won two tickets to the Weekday release party in Århus tonight.. this is going to be insane! But now comes the "big" problem- what the fuck am I going to wear?!Suggestions are welcome (and appreciated)!

A pair of my shoes broke, meaning I got some money back. One word: FUCKINGSWEET. Ok.. so technically that was two words, but whatever. For that money I accidently bought an Acne sweater.. I simply couldn't resist.

In the spirit of three stars

So I managed to get my ugly ass out of bed (and my stinky PJs) and head to the mall. Picked up some lovely items from H&M (all I can afford until the paycheck rolls in). Despite its low cost, H&M has some lovely items that can spiff up your wardrobe when the money ain't flowin'. Check it out..

Like I've previously mentioned, I'm into big statement earrings. Therefore, I bought a pair of pretty gold ones today. AND.. two big turqouise rings. I spent 100kr for all three things = SWEET DEAL.

Spaces in between

Hello world! Today I'm a bum.. the weather is nice and I'm just chillin' around the house, trying to get some homework done and relaxing. I feel sickness coming upon me once again, but this time (I'm trying something new), I'm taking everything in babysteps hoping to ward off any sickness before it takes over. If I end up leaving the house today (the mall is calling my name in sweet song-voices), I'll take a picture of the outfit. Sold a top on Trendsales, meaning I have money for a couple accessories at H&M! Woot :)

White as a sheet

I spent the entirety yesterday re-watching The City . As many of you bloggers out there must know, The City returns in a week and a half. I'm BEYOND excited! Today was not an "all fun" day. I did a deal of crying (which kind of sucks, but isn't necessarily all bad), I really needed it actually. And as the evening progressed, things have gotten better :)

Dark Clouds

Went out last night. It was awesome. Ended up with glow in the dark shit all over my face and back (was attacked with the entrance stamp).. Here's what I was wearing (I didn't have a willing photographer, I apologize!):

Being strapped for cash has made me find "old gems"- clothing I've had for a while but have forgotten. I also feel I've been in a bit of a fashion rut, not knowing what to wear. Therefore, I went through some of my (many) drawers yesterday and discovered this top from AA. I love it, but have only worn it a handful of times since buying it (over a year ago!).

The weather is lovely, I am enjoying this. Found these old, scruffy shorts in my closet and decided to wear them (despite being too big). The weather simply called for shorts!

Annoying thing of the day: discovering shoes (that were lent out to a friend and never used by one self) that are completely ruined. The leather on the heel is completely raped by pavement. Thanks a lot. I try to be nice and help my friends out when they need to borrow shoes, but I am not doing this again. This is the second time my shoes have been ruined because friends borrowed them. FUCK.

I'm going to go sit outside, in the sun and get some reading done. Hope everyone else is out enjoying the weather!

It feels nice in here

I'm going to have to express my opinion about some various things flying around blogland right now:

-I don't like Miu Miu's collection. Had the swallow/other bird/woman print been limited to a few cute tank tops, I would have much prefered it (as I've mentioned on other people's blogs, I didn't mind the Gina Tricot pink swallow top at all). I think all the hype around the collection is blown completely out of proportion and it saddens me to think that Alexa Chung's love of the shoes (the infamous twitter post, "Congratulations Miu Miu, you have made the perfect shoe") has started a craze. (Ps.- I don't think that the pink Miu Miu swallow shoe was the perfect shoe either).

Not only do I think that Miu Miu's use of the print was utterly over-done, but that the construction, design and over-all presentation of the collection was unimpressive. The only few pieces that could've been OK were the dresses with the gems, but then that annoying swallow print collar ruined it (it's tight around the neck, how annoying would that be to wear?).

And the thing that bugs me about the collection even more, is that the regular sized woman would look like a fucking twat walking down the street in one of those office pant/cut out blouse ensembles.

(Keep in mind... this is my opinion only. I may be completely wrong, but the good thing about fashion is that we're all entitled to an opinion and opinions in themselves are relative. I don't mean to offend anyone out there, but the truth of the matter is, blogland is crazy with Miu Miu DIY stockings, shoes, socks and so on. And I'm tired of it!)

Any further than this

Life life life... I took my extensions out. It was time to get them re-done but I've decided I don't want to. I want to give my hair a break and let it do its own thing. I mean, I want long hair, but I'd prefer it to be natural. My hair grows quite quickly, so it won't be that bad :)

I FOUND MY GRADUATION DRESS (studenterkjole)! I've previously blogged about Won Hundred's ridiculously awesome summer collection and the dress I want to buy is a bit pricey. I mean, I could afford it, but then I'd be poor the rest of the month (since I would also be buying S///Bar wedges and some other items). So I thought... "well, I could just check out Trendsales..."

And there it was. And it was my size. And a bit cheaper. And unused. And the seller doesn't mind waiting (despite its unused status) 2 weeks until I get paid. One word can describe my mood: F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.

I don't really want to follow the Danish tradition of a white dress.. I know the day is going to end in drunken madness and I'd prefer not to end up with huge stains on a dress that was expensive. Plus, if it's white, I won't end up wearing it much after the big day. Also, the above dress comes with a black leather string that is to be tied around the waist. Loves it!

The weather has been lovely- I've been trying to take advantage of it as much as I can. As much as I love my winter jacket(s), it's refreshing to be able to finally wear a spring jacket. Here are a couple pictures...

My mom's birthday bash yesterday was surprisingly fun. We know how to party in our family. It certainly wasn't boring and will be a day we will look back on in 10 years and think "fuck that was a good time". Perfect eh?

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of my entire outfit. I was wearing one of my favourite dresses, my Gestuz one. It's a bit big, so I tied the straps at the neck. Happy Sunday everyone!

Despite the issues I wrote about previously, this week has been fantastic. And it just keeps getting better- today was my last (official) day of school, I'm going to my good friend's birthday tonight and my mom's big 50th birthday is tomorrow. So really, things couldn't be more lovely. Hurrah!

I bought this lovely jean vest a couple days ago. I love the bleached colour (perfect for spring and cool summer days), plus it makes a colourful addition to black outfits.

An outlaw

So this outfit is apparently the shit right now- I don't mean to toot my own horn at all, but yesterday I created a style gallery account and uploaded the picture below (which is also the one I won the competition with) and it got chosen as one of the week's best outfits, automatically in their competition of "week's best outfit". Nice to get some recognition once in a while eh..

The matter I was dealing with yesterday (that I mentioned on the blog) has mostly been straightened out. I am relieved to say the least. Now I'm listening to sweaty gangster tunes, eating a scrambled egg sandwhich with Ketchup (have been nuts about those lately eh), and looking forward to hangouts with the man this evening.

I hate these days- you're sad about one thing yet happy about another. I did something with the best of intentions but of course, my gesture was misconstrued and now I'm paying for it. I skipped school today- I really shouldn't have, but man, I ended up going to bed at 1am and simply could not get out of bed this morning. It must have been the mixture of lack of sleep and the dread of thinking about my mistake.

Also on a lighter note, I found someone on Trendsales selling their S///Bar cognac wedges (completely un-used) and convinced her to wait until the 30th of April and sell them to me. I just don't have the funds atm and will be pretty frustrated if I can't get ahold of them when I finally do have the mullahs. I'm thinking they'll make a nice spring shoe, hence their colour, their awesomeness and considering how comfy they are (I already have them in black). Lookin' like a bit of a scuzzball today. Wearing..acid wash sweater from H&M, Bianco wedges, sunglasses from London.

And..I couldn't resist these babies from work. I've really been trying to not buy more shoes, but alas, it's proven to be extremely difficult. It's as though the more I resist, the more I want to buy. What the fuck is up with that?
